School theft investigated
by MCL staff writer

Officersinside checking for evidence of break-in.
It was discovered Sunday, March 16, at around noon, that a burglary had occurred at the Miller County High School at 96 Perry Drive.

Colquitt Police officer,Lonnie Wade, was dispatched to the scene, and, upon arrival, spoke to Middle School Principal Frank Killingsworth.

Principal Killingsworth stated that someone had broken into the school through the Ag Department. Investigator Richard Morgan was called to the scene to gather evidence and determined the damage done while the burglar/burglars were in the building.

At this time, it was discovered that windows were broken, and cash in the amount of $579.00 is missing.

If anyone has any knowledge of someone entering the school building or having an excessive amount of cash, please call the Colquitt Police Department at 758-1009. The incident is still under investigation.
