MARVIN G. LINGS

Marvin G. Lings, 90, of Bainbridge passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Memorial Hospital.

The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating.

Mr. Lings was born July 28, 1917, in Chicago, IL, the son of Archibald George Lings and Anna Wedell Lings. He owned and operated Lings Foods, Inc. in Lake Mills, WI, for many years and served in the United States Navy Seabees during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Maxine "Micki" Jordan Lings; one son and daughter-in-law, Dale Jordan Lings and Diane of Duluth, MN; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patti Diane and Gary Davis of Columbus, KY, Jill Ann and Robert Scherr of Jefferson, WI, and Janeanne Mae and Michael Huang of Ramona, CA; and five grandchildren, Janell Davis, Jill Schiferl and husband Lee, Jordan Lings, Fletcher Lings and Michelle Huang.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
