Law Enforcement Reports
Open Door

On February 10 at approximately 3:08 p.m., Dale Glover was dispatched to S. Fourth St. in reference to an open door. Upon arrival, Glover made entry into the business and found nothing disturbed. The manager was contacted, and she also looked inside the business and found nothing missing.

Upon checking the door, it was found to be locked but not secured all the way. Glover advised the manager if any property was found missing to contact the Sheriff's Office.

Criminal Trespass

On February 9, Mary Price was dispatched to Draper Jones Road. Upon arrival, Price spoke with the complainant, Teava Pangborn who stated that the kids next door had come on her property by crawling through a barb wire fence and stole her child's bicycle. She also stated that this was the third bicycle they had stolen, and the other two were never returned. Ms. Pangborn also advised that she was concerned about the kids' welfare due to the fact they came on her property and played in a pile of trash which had broken glass in it and also a mud hole which has an electric wire running directly through the middle which is buried underground.

At this time Ms. Pangborn looked toward the residence and told the deputy the kids were on the bicycle now. Price left Mrs. Pangborn's residence and went to the residence of the kids. There were three kids pulling a bike which fit the description of the bike taken from Mrs. Pangborn's yard. Upon speaking with the mother, who was Brandi Smith, Price asked her if she was aware of her kids going through the fence and getting the bicycle from the neighbor's property. She stated, yes. Price then asked Smith how old the children were. Mrs. Smith said six, seven, and three. The seven-year-old stated that his brother went and got the bicycle. Price then put the bicycle in her car and advised Mrs. Smith that this was the third time an officer had been to her residence for the same problem, and if it happened again there would be no other choice but to charge her. Price then returned the bicycle to the owner.
