Billy "Felton" Greene Hightower

Mr. Billy "Felton" Greene Hightower, age 63, of Colquitt died Monday, January 28, 2008, at Miller County Hospital.

Mr. Greene was born June 29, 1934, to the late Pitt Hightower and Essie Mae Person of Macon. He was united in holy matrimony to Lottie Mae Butler on January 12, 1971.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Williams officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife, Lottie Greene; three grandchildren whom he raised as his own, Nikeshia Scott, Nagenia Hightower, and Tekelia Hightower, all of Colquitt; four children, Herbert (Lorenzo) Greene, Ohio, Eugene Butler, Colquitt, Phyllis and Zachary Greene, both of Sandersville; two sisters, Evelyn (Andre) Richards, Pembroke Pines, FL, Juanita (Hayward) David, Lake City, FL; four brothers, Herbert (Mai) Hightower, California, Ray (Ira) Muddeen, Miami, FL, Eugene (Arentha) Pugh, Miami, FL, Eddie (Treva) Pugh, Pembroke Pines, FL; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, greatgrandchildren, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Paulina Carr and one brother, Loyd Green.

Williams' Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
