Accident

On January 8, 2008, Ms. Cheryl I. Ison of Tallahassee, FL, was traveling west on Pine Street. Ms. Ison stated that she stopped at the stop sign at Pine Street and First Street but thought it was a four-way stop. She stated that after a car went by she attempted to cross over Pine Street and drove into the path of Ms. Delisha Nash of Donalsonville, who was traveling north on First Street in a 2002 Honda Civic. There was moderate damage to both vehicles, and Ms. Nash had a minor complaint of injury but was not transported to the emergency room.

On January 13, 2008, Mrs.

Alma Laverne Williams of Colquitt was traveling south on Hornsby Road. She stated that she was traveling towards the ditch and was going to correct it. Mrs. Williams' lost control and entered into the ditch.

Shoplifting

On January 10, 2008 OfficerJason Wells was called to the IGA Plus to speak with Owner /manager Jodie Jarvis. Upon arrival OfficerWells and Detective Kenny Kirkland spoke to Mrs. Jarvis, and she stated that the day before the store captured Jamarcus Roseborough stealing an 8 fluid ounce bottle of Sergeants gold fleaand tick spray for dogs valued at nine dollars. Mrs. Jarvis showed us the video where two black males were on aisle 9. One of the black males wearing a striped shirt and baggy blue jeans took a bottle from the shelf and put it in his right pant pocket. The other suspect with him had on a hooded sweat shirt. Witness, Mike Colgan, an employee with IGA, knowing the suspects were under age saw the one with the sweat shirt grab a bottle of beer, and Colgan asked if he could help him. He stated the suspect put the beer back and said, "No, I'm just looking for some puppy chow." Employee Domonique Resse identified Roseborough via video. Mr. Colgan stated that it was brought to his attention by employee Shae Glover that Roseborough stole cigars from the store on the previous Wednesday night. This case has been turned over to Detective Kenny Kirkland.

Obstruction of Officers

On January 11, 2008, OfficerMary Price went to Washington Street to serve a warrant on Jamarcus Roseborough. Upon arrival, Officer Price spoke to Jamarcus's stepfather who stated that Jamarcus had left the residence. While returning to her car, two subjects stated that Jamarcus was across the street at Ms. Pearl's house in the back yard. OfficerPrice drove to the front of the residence and walked up to the side of the residence and asked a subject if Jamarcus was there. They stated he was in the back. When OfficerPrice turned the corner of the residence, Jamarcus jumped the fence and ran into a wooded area. Officer Price called for backup, and a search took place in the area. OfficerPrice then returned to Jamarcus' residence to tell his stepfather what had just taken place. OfficerPrice checked around Jamarcus's residence, and he was still not there. Later on that night Jamarcus' mother brought him to the Sheriff's Officewhere he turned himself in. At this time he was charged with obstruction of an officerand served with the previous warrant.

Criminal Trespass

On January 12, 2008, Christopher Lamar Lane came to the Miller County Sheriff's Officeand reported that

Christopher David Alley had broken the windshield on his 1980 Toyota Pickup. Mr. Lane advised that Mr. Alley was upset and struck the windshield with his right hand, causing the window to spider web. Bonnie Lane, mother of Chris Lane, was outside at the time that the window was broken. Mrs. Lane did not witness the incident, but did hear it. Chris Lane did not report the incident due to Alley's state of mind at the time, and Alley also agreed to pay for the damages. The incident occurred on December 20, 2007.
