Joan Douglas

Ms. Joan Douglas, age 52, of Colquitt passed away Monday, January 7, 2008.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, at Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church with interment at Flynn Cemetery. Rev. Willie Boatman, Sr. and Rev. Albert K. Douglas officiated.

Joan was born December 18, 1955, in Miller County to Mr. Pat Douglas and the late Mrs. Ruby Douglas. She pursued cosmetology training at the Development Outreach Center for the hearing impaired in Atlanta.

She is survived by her father, Pat Douglas; one sister, Johnnie Mae Douglas; six brothers, Rev. Horace (Barbara) Douglas, J.E. (Betty) Douglas, Pat Douglas, Jr., James Douglas, Edward Douglas, and Rev. Albert K. Douglas; and a host of other family members.

Williams' Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
