Seeds of the sower
by Michael A. Guido Metter, GA

One day a friend baked me a cherry cake. While enjoying the second piece, my teeth came down on something that wasn't cake.

It was a cherry stone. When I reached for it, I also found a broken tooth.

Nursing the pain, I thought on Living Proverbs 20:17, "Some men enjoy cheating, but the cake they buy with such ill-gotten gain will turn to gravel in their mouths."

Yes, cheating pays, but the goodies turn to gravel, the thrills to ills, the paradise to perdition.

Your shady deals won't bring you a sunny life here or hereafter.
