Donald Edward "Don" Miller

Mr. Donald Edward "Don" Miller, age 88, of Brinson passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his residence.

No memorial service was held.

Mr. Miller was born in St. Louis, MO, on June 29, 1919, to the late Grove Cleveland and Mabel Leona Sweetin Miller. He entered the service in 1943, serving in the U.S. Army with the 83rd Infantry and arriving at Normandy 10 days after D-Day. He retired from Dow Chemical Company in 1970. He was a guide on Lake Seminole for a number of years. Don became very close to a number of the B.A.S.S. pros, like Shaw Grigsby, Ray Scott, and Tom Mann. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Miller leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia Sizemore Miller of Brinson; two daughters, Heather Miller of Jacksonville, FL, and Dawn (Les) Green of Bradenton, FL; a stepdaughter, Tonya (Randy) Hill of Brinson; a brother, William "Bill" (Gerry) Miller of Bland, MO; four sisters, Leona Blancher of Springfield, MO, Joann (Jim) Howard of Benbrook, TX, Jane Cook of St. Louis, MO and Betty Hanson of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Michael, Nathaniel, and Elizabeth Hill of Brinson; his mother-in-law, Hazel Dollar of Bainbridge; a brother-inlaw, Robert (Debbie) Sizemore of Bainbridge.

Evans Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
