Joyce Elaine Williams

Mrs. Joyce Elaine Williams, 83, of Colquitt died December 20, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 22 at Cooks Union Methodist Church with interment in Colquitt City Cemetery. The Rev. Billy Mills and Rev. Benjamin Miller officiating.

Mrs. Williams was born November 22, 1924, in Miller County. She was in farming and was a member of Cooks Union Methodist Church.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Harris (Chappy) Williams.

Survivors include one son, John Newberry (Sheila) Williams of Colquitt; two daughters, Kay (Ronnie) Dyer of Hiawassee, and Harriet (Ronnie Joe) Lane of Donalsonville; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
