Billye Galina Dykes

Mrs.Billye Galina Dykes, age 85, of Donalsonville passed away Friday, December 21, 2007 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.

Graveside services were held Sunday, December 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Cemetery in Jakin, with Rev. Fred Odom officiating.

Mrs. Dykes was born in Santa Rosa, CA on July 30, 1922 to the late James Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Tavalori Galina. She was married to James Dykes who preceded her in death in October of 2005. She moved to this area after Mr. Dykes retired from the Army and was a homemaker and a beautician.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Kent (Linda) Croom and a grandson, Alex Croom all of Donalsonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, Larry Michael Galina.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
