Massee, Brooks complete wedding plans

Miss Elizabeth Joyce Massee and Mr. Charles "Chase" Paschal Brooks Jr. have announced final plans for their wedding, which will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 3 at Central United Methodist Church.

A reception at the home of the bride's parents, Dorminy- Massee House, will immediately follow the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Massee. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Howard Massee and Mrs. Dorothy Cumby and the late Mr. Henry Lester "H.L." Cumby.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Paschal Brooks. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Newberry and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Brooks Jr.

The ceremony will be preformed by the Rev. Keith Goodlett.

Music will be provided by vocalists, Mrs. Karla Foster, Miss Leah Massee, Mr. Cal Miller and Mr. Drew Massee, organist, Mr. Brian Morris, and pianist Mrs. Becky Anderson.

Mrs. Karie Anne Spence will be the matron of honor. Miss Carla Leigh Casper will be the maid of honor.

Bridesmaids will be Miss LeeAnn Elizabeth Brooks, Miss Emily Suzanne Burch, Miss Lauren Nicole Giles, Miss Amanda Rae Haman, Miss Emily Anne Huggins, Miss Sarah Rebecca Massee, Miss Sarah Lindsay Miller and Miss Haley Brooke Simons.

Miss Margaret Grace Massee will serve as flower girl.

The father of the groom will serve as best man. Groomsmen will be Mr. Victor Shannon Hathorn, Mr. Thomas James Hathorn, Mr. Jacob Dorminy Massee, Mr. Luke Henry Massee, Mr. Patrick Gentry Everson, Mr. Stuart Conan Hathorn, Mr. Christopher James Arnold, Mr. William Matthew Moseley and Mr. John David Spence.
