| he Miller County Kick- Off Rally for Miller County's sixth annual Relay for Life was held. A delicious meal was served to the volunteers, team captains and others interested in helping with Relay for Life. Jill and Jay presented All Star Awards for the 2007 Relay for Life to the 10 teams. Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church was the team collecting the most money with a total of $7,508.00. Bellview Free Will Baptist Church was the second highest money raiser with an amount of $6,582.00. |

| Sarah Henry Johnson of Colquitt recently retired from the Damascus Post Office after 32 years of dedicated service as a rural letter carrier. Sarah started her career in the post office in Damascus in February, 1975, as a substitute carrier. For the first five years, she was a substitute carrier before becoming full time. She was the only lady carrier in the office. |

| The first annual Relay for Life Pageant was held Saturday, February 16, 2008, at the Miller County Elementary School Auditorium. Thirtynine contestants vied for the titles of Baby Miss, Teeny Miss, Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Pre-Teen Miss, Teen Miss, Miss and Ms. Relay for Life. |

| Dr. Wilkerson talked about what has happened at Bainbridge College since it started 30 years ago, how it has become the fastest growing college in the University System of Georgia colleges. He told of the 173 acre campus and stated that the Kirbo Center now under construction will be finished by June 2008. |

The Wild Game Banquet at
First Baptist Church Tuesday, March 18, was an enormous success. Dr. Marshal thanked everyone for attending. "I want to thank the citizens of Miller
County and the surrounding
area for their support and the help we received. We are already planning next year's banquet, now scheduled for March 17, 2009. This ministry, perhapsmore than any other in the area, provides us with an opportunity to raise an awareness of God," Dr. Marshal stated. |
