Ebony Dots & Dashes
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Since I've been in my second childhood, and have no young folks living with me, I don't do much decorating. But I love to see the decorations at other people's homes.
I have been asked to bake some potato pies. That is one of our family's specialities. Everyone loves them.
The bunch that lives in Virginia and Philadelphia will not be coming home. Driving this time of year is not a pleasant thing to do. Hopefully we will have no tragedies.
Ms. Ella Wyatt was admitted to the hospital this week. She is in Albany.
My son called last Sunday to make sure I had received his gift. I had. We had a lovely conversation. He will remember the Christmases past, as it is too dangerous to drive on the icy highways in the winter.
Mrs. Clara Toliver is still in the hospital. I hope she can be home for Christmas.
I missed church last Sunday. Sure was disappointed. My ride is getting like me, old and forgetful.
Now is a good time to remember those whom we've lost. Give to the cemetery fund while the grass is dormant. When spring comes, you will be one up on the grass.
Hope everyone has a Merry and healthy Christmas. I'm just hoping to be here to see it.
