Mr. Bobby Bruce Gleaton, age 73, of Arlington passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Gleaton was born October 10, 1935. He was retired from the City of Albany after 28 years of service.

Graveside services were held Friday, December 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Live Oak Cemetery in Baker County with Rev. Preston Wilson officiating.

Pallbearers were Walter Sawyer, Charles Fitzgerald, Mike Lanier, Curt Gleaton, Alex Spurlock, and Dylan Spurlock.

Survivors include two sisters, Eudean G. Hudgins, Leary, and Jimmie Mae G. Spurlock, Arlington; one brother, Curtis (Geraldine) Gleaton, Albany; two nephews, Alan (Melinda) Spurlock, Curt (Donna) Gleaton; three nieces, Marilyn H. (Earl) Coston, Debbie G. (Mark) Stahl, Joyce P. Spurlock, Newton; and several other great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas and Laverne Sanders Gleaton, and one nephew, Clint Spurlock.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
