What fun we have had this week. It has been jammed packed with Santa, parties, singing, and lots of fun. Sunday morning we started out with our regular Sunday School class with Mr. Charles. Then that afternoon members from Cook's Union Methodist Church came to share with us. Mr. Bob Roberts came to give our Bible study on Monday morning, and we enjoyed the movie "White Christmas" Monday afternoon. Monday evening Mt. Zion Fellowship came to be with us. Tuesday morning children from Miller County Head Start came to sing for us; we then had bingo. After dinner residents all went to the dining room to wait for Santa. We all sang Christmas carols while waiting on the sleigh to bring our special guest. When Santa arrived, he had a big job to do, around the tree were gifts for all the residents for him to give out. It was so much fun to watch their eyes light up as their names were being called and seeing them opening their gifts. We then shared finger foods with our families and friends that came to share this special night with us. All the food was prepared by the kitchen staff, and I would like to say you did a great job. Wednesday morning we had another group of children; the Miller County Elementary Fifth Grade Choir came to sing for us. Wednesday afternoon members of New Home FWB Church hosted our monthly birthday party. We had eight residents celebrating a birthday this month. Wednesday evening members from Colquitt FWB church came caroling. Thursday morning it was time for bingo again. Thursday afternoon we had another coloring contest which they all enjoyed. Thursday evening we had more carolers that came to sing for us. Friday morning James Judkins gave our church service, and that afternoon guess what we had - another round of bingo. Saturday we enjoyed having our families for Family Day. As you can see, we have had a full week.

I would like to take this time to say thank you for all the gifts, money, visits, and many other special ways you have shown your support for our residents during this holiday season. You will never know how much it means to them as well as to me knowing that they have so many people who care for them. May God bless each of you and your families during this holiday season.
