This is the only election reports that we can give our readers, since General Election day, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 occurs mostly after we go to press.

Most of the local races have already been determined in the primaries. The only local race will be the non-partisan race for Probate Judge between Brenda G. McNease (incumbent) and Henry Worsley.

Of the 4232 registered voters, 1077 have early voted and 198 applied for absentee ballots. Early Tuesday morning 155 absentee ballots have been returned and more could come in when the mail is up. Over 30 percent have voted before the polls opened Tuesday.
