2009 Miss Irish Capital Outstanding Teen Rachel Grimesley
Rachel Grimsley was crowned the new Miss Irish Capital Outstanding Teen 2009 on October 5, 2008. The pageant was held at the Carl Vinson Veterans Auditorium in Dublin.

Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageants select a representative for each state for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant. Although Miss America state pageants used to run unofficial teen competitions, Miss America's Outstanding Teen was the first official teen pageant associated with the Miss America Organization and the first for which there was a national competition. The first national pageant was held in August 2005. The Georgia pageant is held the same week as Miss Georgia in Columbus.

The scholarship pageant is for teens ages 13-17 and has the following levels of competition: lifestyle and fitness, personal interview and on-stage question, evening gown, and talent. Rachel also received the interview, talent and evening gown awards.

Rachel is 13 years old and in the eighth grade at Southwest Georgia Academy. She is the daughter of Felix and Tammy Grimsley of Colquitt and the granddaughter of Thelma Richardson of Iron City and the late Jacob Reese, and Joanne Grimsley of Colquitt and the late Don Grimsley. She has one brother, Joshua Eric Grimsley.
