Politic, birthdays, dogs, and baseball
Well, some of you are going to be disappointed. This column isn't going to be just about politics this week, except- After we had gotten out the newspaper last week on Tuesday evening, which wears this "ye scribe" out, I went home early. I wanted to see the great debate between McCain and Obama. I watched the pre-show, switching between the networks.

Happily Ever After
The good people at Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream have been making frozen goodies at their Vermont commune for 30 years. The product is great, but Ben & Jerry's doesn't stop at ice cream. The company is as politically active as any in America.

The American Flag
To Mr. Terry and the people of Colquitt, I guess some of you have forgotten. I first started getting the Miller County Liberal via email last year while deployed to Afghanistan. I subscribed because of a letter Glenda Bailey had written in the opinion section of the paper.

He did a good job opening up the scriptures to an almost full house. Went to morning services at 11 o'clock in Damascus to the church where I was a member when the family lived in Early County. They had Family and Friends Day. The Rev.

The heaviest element
I thought you would enjoy this. It seems to be the main element in the financial recovery plan.-- Gerald Lawrence Livermore Laboratories has discovered the heaviest element yet known to science. The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

As You See It
The Miller County students would like to ask all Pirate fans to BLACKOUT at the Miller/Seminole game on October 17th. Go, Pirates! If we only pay $6.68 in city taxes, then somebody's tax bill came to us by mistake with our name on it. We certainly were billed much more than that.
