This year's theme for the Little Miss pageant was "A Peanut Round-Up." Prior to the pageant, each contestant had to write an essay for their written communication score, and they competed in a five-minute interview with each of the five judges. On Saturday evening, the pageant began with all 50 contestants performing a country western dance routine, followed by their individual on-stage introductions.
The next phase of competition was the individual walks in their heirloom dresses. After the individual walks, Harley was announced as a Top 10 Finalist in the pageant! The Top 10 finalists were then asked to do an additional walk and answer an on-stage question. The onstage question for the finalists was "Would you rather be Miley Cyrus or Hannah Montana?" Harley's answer was "I would rather be Miley Cyrus, but it doesn't matter who you are, as long as you can be yourself."
When the time came for awards, Harley was also announced as a top 5 finalist for the written communication competition.
