Democrats put on quite a show at their convention last week. I watched as much as I could of it. There were very few surprises. Real politicians all kiss and make up at their conventions. You could hardly see the scars as those who had gutted each other just a short few weeks ago were bosom buddies of the winner. More ... Since the Olympics and presidential politics have sucked the oxygen out of the news cycle recently, some really interesting stories have gone largely overlooked. Some of the best ones aren't even about politicians or athletes. For a change, animals are back in the news. And while the news may not be all good, it's at least interesting. More ...
