On August 10, 2008, the descendants of William Gilbert and Callie Spooner Kirkland gathered together once again for the 47th consecutive year. Our first reunion was held in 1961. We had a good time looking at old pictures from "back then." Amazing were the hairstyle changes over the years.

Martha Nell Kirkland Jernigan welcomed everyone and handled the brief business meeting. One new baby was welcomed to the family, and goodbyes were said to all those who had left us behind.

A great time was had by all, and the food, as usual, was abundant and delicious.
