The 2008-2009 school year marks the 50th year in teaching for Southwest Georgia Academy teachers, Miss Henrinel Middleton (left) and Mrs. Anngene Gibbs (right).

Miss Middleton began her career at Damascus High School in 1958, while Mrs. Gibbs began hers at Albany Junior High School the same year.

They are both charter teachers at SGA, where they began teaching in 1970 when the school opened. Together, they have been named STAR teacher 16 times.
