Vehicle Accident

On August 21, Ray M. Houston was backing out of a parking space. James Starlin Muller was stopped behind another vehicle in the drive through line. Houston backed into Starlin. Houston was at fault for improper backing.

Grimsley was traveling west on Crawford Street, and Margie A. Mancil was entering the intersection of Milford Street and Crawford Street. Mancil failed to yield to Grimsley, thus Grimsley striking Mancil causing damage to both vehicles. Mancil was issued citations for failure to yield and no license. A passenger in Mancil's vehicle was transported to Donalsonville Hospital due to pregnancy.

Suspended License

On August 21, Officer Greg Richey was traveling north bound on Hwy. 27 when he checked a green Chevrolet Silverado on his radar at 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. Officer Richey then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle, the driver,

Cecil Hill, informed the officer that he did not have his driver's license on his person. After further investigation, Officer Richey found that Hill had a suspended driver's license. Hill was then transported to the Miller County Jail and charged with the offenses of speeding and driving on a suspended driver 's license second offense.

Larceny

On August 21, Officer Chris Medina was dispatched to E. Dancer Street, in reference to a stolen bicycle. When Officer Medina arrived on scene, he spoke with the complainant, Gabriel Ladon Sims, who advised that someone had taken his bicycle from his house approximately one week ago. Sims advised that his stolen bicycle was a next beach cruiser with gold rims and was red and gray in color. Sims also advised that he was told of a possible suspect.
