MCHS FFA News
Hey everyone! This week has been very busy for FFA. We have many upcoming events.
FFA officers have been getting ready for officer training camp that will take place August 15-17th. Our first meeting will take place Tuesday, August 19th at 7:30 pm in the lunchroom. We will be eating pizza, have a guest speaker, and door prizes. Please come if you signed up in the Ag office. Remember you don't have to be a paid member to attend.
August 27, 2008 is the tractor driving contest. Tell Mr. Bill if you are interested. The top three winners will receive a cash prize.
The middle school FFA is having a smoked pork chop fund raiser. The plates are $6.00 and include a delicious smoked pork chop with trimmings. Please pick up your plates Friday, September 5, 2008 in the cafeteria. Pick up time is 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now, be sure to get yours!
Floral design work shop is coming up and will be held September 8, 2008 at 4:45 pm at West Bainbridge Middle School. Mr. Bill can take two 9th graders and two 10th thru 12th graders. See Mr. Bill in the Ag office if you are interested.
September 18, 2008 we will have our second meeting at the bowling alley in Bainbridge. The cost is $5.00 and includes shoes, pizza and drink. Sign up at the Ag office if you would like to go.
FFA dues are $10 and need to be paid by October 3, 2008. Please come get a form in the Ag office.
FFA members will be going to the expo October 15, 2008, the cost is $5.00 and you must be a member to go.
National Convention will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana October 21 - 25, 2008. If you would like to go a $100 deposit must be paid by August 22, 2008 which is non refundable.
FFA is selling beef jerky and FFA T-shirts. The shirts come in yellow and hot pink and they should be in this week.
