Sara Batson Willingham, 77, of Bainbridge passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Memorial Hospital.

A private graveside funeral service was held Sunday, August 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Willingham was born July 21, 1931 in Lanett, AL, the daughter of Clyde Batson and Annie Lee Thrower Batson. She was a graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke, AL, and was a retired secretary. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Willingham was preceded in death by her husband, Travis M. Willingham, Jr. and her brother, Jim Stafford.

Survivors include one daughter, Cathi W. Galpin and her husband Bill of Bainbridge; two grandchildren, Awbree Galpin and Keller Galpin, both of Bainbridge; and her sister, Kay Pinkard of Roanoke, AL.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
