1948 has Class of 1948 1948 has Class of 1948 The Miller County High School Class of 1948 held its 60th reunion on June 27th and June 28th, 2008.

A banner "Welcome Class of 1948" was placed outside the worship center at the First Baptist Church in Colquitt to welcome everyone. Classmates and guests began arriving at 4:00 p.m. each evening for a time of fellowship and reminiscing.

Dr. Leon Hays Bush, class president, greeted everyone and gave the invocation. There were 43 in attendance, 24 classmates plus spouses, and friends. Teachers attending were Lillian Gibson and Harry Davis and wife, Bonnie.

A tribute to the deceased classmates was given by Cleo Mock. The registry table held an arrangement of red roses in their memory.

Tubby Dancer prepared the food both nights. He and his staff did an outstanding job with the food.

Those in attendance were Charles Austin (Shirley), Jolene Harrell Burkett, Leon Hays Bush (Gloria and Ashley), Bob Daniels (Dixie), Doris Ward Phillips (W.H.), Ella Mae Davis Henry, Eugene Hornsby (Jackie), Mary Helen Phillips Henning (Ed), Barbara Cofty Jones (Dan), Francis Middleton Kelly (Bo Everson), Frazier Lindsey (Betty), Vivian Ellis McCrory (B.J.), Bill Middleton (Elsi), Cleo Middleton Mock (B.O.), Lindsey Mock (Betty), William Regan (Dolly), Bessie Jernigan Sirman (Velmer), J.L. Tabb (Joy), Ethlyn Griffin West (Bud), Pat Norton, Victor Spooner (Kathy), Vada Vinson Griffin, Alice Boyd Lane, Kathleen Sheffield Cook.

Plans were made to meet again in June 2009.
