On Wednesday, August 13, 2008, members of the Pataula Drug Task Force and the Early County Sheriff's Department arrested Mark Lott and Kimberly Howerton at 1294 Highway 62 in Blakely.

He was arrested on outstanding warrants in Seminole County for unlawful possession of a control substance, forgery and obtaining regulated drugs by fraud/ forgery.

While at the residence executing the arrest warrant for Lott, a quantity of marijuana was located which lead to the arrest of Howerton. A criminal arrest for Howerton was obtained for possession of marijuana.

Both subjects were taken to Early County Jail. Lott willlater have to appear in Miller County to face charges for theft by taking. The case is still being investigated.
