Descendants of Samuel Langley, Troupe, and Thomas M. Tabb came from several states to hold their annual reunion at the American Legion (Gerald Grow Post 165) at 148 West Street in Colquitt on July 12th and July 13th.

Festivities started on Saturday night with a small group gathering at the American Legion Home for a time of "story-telling" and "pictureswapping".

Sunday's get together consisted of the business meeting, presentation of awards and a meal that couldn't be beat.

Mike Tabb, Sr., President, presided. Angela H. Tabb provided the secretary's report with Felix Tabb, Sr. furnishing the treasurer's report and the Tabb Cemetery report.

Awards presented were for the following categories:

Oldest Indirect Descendant present (the Hattie Mae Tabb Memorial Award): Mrs. John (Joy) Tabb; Youngest Descendant present: William Gamble Tabb (20 months).

Relative who traveled the greatest distance: Amy Tabb (app. 2000 miles) from Las Vegas, Nevada).

Oldest Direct Descendant: Eva Mae Bailey Earl Tabb Memorial Award; (Most reunions attended): Iva Tabb, Joy Tabb, and Merle Tabb Merritt.

Most Children Present: Russ and Angie Tabb, Candy, Jason and Chad; Mike, Jr. and Candy Tabb, Anthony, Christina and Chandler; Brett and Ann Tabb, Ivanna, Torrie and Cole.

Most Generations Present: Merle Tabb Merritt, William Felix Tabb, Russ Tabb and Bobby Tabb.

The Tabb Reunion is held on the 2nd Sunday of July each year. All descendants of Samuel Langley, Troupe, John Edward, William, Thomas M., Mary Ann, Elizabeth, and Julia Ann Tabb are encouraged to attend.
