Letters to the Editor
To Whom it may concern:
Shame on you Keith Williams, whoever you are, and Miller County Liberal. As a Georgia born and raised citizen, I am ashamed. You printed in your "award-winning newspaper" an event that took place seven years ago and allowed it to be stated as something that took place "yesterday" on June 18, 2008. The event which titled his piece, took place after 9/11, "to lessen the chances that overseas reporters could be harmed by those who might view them as an arm of the American government." Mr. Williams didn't even have the good sense to use his own words; he plagiarized the original email from 2001 without giving it proper credit, which of course would have disclosed the fact that it was old news, and had nothing to do with Obama. Yet, you printed it as an effort to label Obama as unpatriotic. Nothing much more unpatriotic than our print news media, on whom we rely on for truth and honesty, letting this kind of trash be published.
