Mr. James Hamilton Hilburn, age 71, of Colquitt died Thursday, July 10, 2008. at Palmyra Medical Center.

Mr. Hilburn was born March 8, 1937, in Miller County. He was a labor relations specialist with the federal government.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 12, at 3:00 p.m. at Cooks United Methodist Church with Billy Mills officiating. Interment followed in Kelley Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Verlie Bundy Hilburn, Colquitt; one daughter, Karen (Tim) Edmonds, Fayetteville; two sons, David (Rhonda) Hilburn, Kennesaw, and Mark (Shelley) Hilburn, Sebring, FL; six grandchildren, Sarah Hilburn, Joseph Hilburn, Jessica Edmonds, Zack Edmonds, Wyatt Edmonds and Cameron Stache; and two sister-in-lws, Molly Hilburn and Betty Jean Hilburn, Colquitt.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
