Summer Reading

It's hot outside; why not curl up indoors with a good book from the library? Statistics show that children who do not read during the summer break have lower grades and lower test scores, compared with children who read during the summer break.

Summer reading isn't only for children; it is for adults as well. Adults who read set a good example for their children. All you have to do is read a book, a newspaper, a magazine, or even a flier at the store. Studies show that children who see their parents reading gain assurance that reading is beneficial.

The library is the perfect place to kick back and relax with a good book. Your Southwest Georgia Regional Library System is prepared to assist you in your reading needs. Whether you want that new best seller, the perfect storybook to read to your child or a recipe for that new dish you've been trying to master in the kitchen, the Southwest Georgia Regional Library System is your one-stop information shop.
