Ebony Dots & Dashes
Last week was a good one for me. Although, I really got a bit beat up, still I enjoyed every bit of it. Revivals being on at two churches in the vicinity, I took advantage of my granddaughter's generosity and went to New Hope M.B. Church on Highway 91, and New Salem F.W.B. Church on Taylor St. Both sessions were great.
Sunday was spent at New Salem F.W.B. Church as they closed a successful revival. The pastor Rev. Jordan Arline III delivered a beautiful Sermon. The officers from Branchville M.B. Church was in charge of the devotion. It was a good day.
Mrs. Clara Toliver was not able to attend service any last week. She is having trouble with her legs and feet. We are hoping she will soon be her jolly old self.
Had a call from Mrs. Joyce Wright of Sanford, FL, last week. She is the daughter of the late Mrs. Edith McDuffie.
Mrs. Vera A. Bush was at church last Sunday. It was so good to see her. She has been on the sick list for a while. I hope she continues to improve.
Happy Birthday greetings go to Annie Sinclair, June 2, and Sophia Price, June 1.
Mrs. Waver Fountain is on the sick list. She gets up and thinks she can do as she used to, but she gets by. Hopefully she won't break anything.
