Mrs. Bronnie Phillips Roberts, age 87, of Blakely died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Miller Nursing Home.

Mrs. Roberts was born March 10, 1921, in Early County to the late Zema Lee Phillips and Mattie Lou Adams Phillips. She was a homemaker and a member of Blakely First Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Blakely First Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Hershey officiating. Interment followed in Roberts Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Trip Rachel, Scott Carlton, Wayne Roberts, Phil Roberts, Rusty Lovering and Ken Roberts.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice Rachel and husband, W.H., Albany, Ann Carlton and husband, Gene, Plano, Texas; two sons, Carlton Roberts and wife, Patsy, Smith Grove, Kentucky, Carroll Roberts and wife, Vivian, Albany; one sister, Betty Lou Jackson, Colquitt; 11 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Auburn Roberts; daughter, Gloria Jean Lovering; and two sons, Billy and Hollis Roberts.

Manry-Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
