Mr. Hiram Phillips, age 78, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, died May 16, 2008, at Park View Hospital.

Mr. Phillips was born March 25, 1930, in Colquitt. He was a retired representative of Nestle and Wayne Candies.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 19, at 10:00 a.m. in Ft. Wayne. A memorial service was held at the Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Benjamin Miller officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Phillips, Ft. Wayne; one daughter, Kay Yoder, Bradenton, FL; three sons, Steve Phillips, Wayne, IL, William Martin (Buddy) Phillips, Round Lake, IL, and Phillip Phillips, Elkborh, WS; four sisters, Frances Lane, Ruth Miller, Virginia Warren, all of Colquitt, Nell Aycock, Lyons; one brother, Jerry (Mavis) Phillips, Colquitt; one brother-in-law, Dave (Peggy) Linder, South Barrington, IL; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard (Rick) Phillips, parents, Rufus and Lannie Phillips, sister, Sara Ann Phillips, two brothers, Joseph Stephen (Joe) Phillips and William Martin (Buddy) Phillips.
