The weekend for the Lane Clan started off with a bang. April Reynolds and company came in early Saturday morning from Virginia. April Reynolds and her two girls, Victoria and Madyson. Tyrone Wilkins and his daughter, Tytianna, traveled by car to get here by breakfast time. They came to see me, and I very gently put them to work, going to the drug store to get my medicine.

The 28th annual Katie Smith Day held at Beulah AME Church was so so blessed last Sunday. Rev. Fred Moore was the speaker. He did a marvelous job with his sermon. Visitors from several churches were in attendance. Thanks from the members of Beulah for all who attended.

Mrs. Pearl Johnson's nephew and his wife, Mr. Isaac and Mrs. Angie Johnson from Sanford, FL, came Sunday and spent the night with her. She really enjoyed having them visit. He is the son of the late William Johnson.

Mrs. Clara Toliver is still on the sick list. She missed church again last Sunday.

It was so good to have our former pastor, Rev. L.E. Moore, in church last Sunday. He is on the sick list and doesn't get around like before. But his spiritual life is still strong. He and his wife, his son Len and his wife and children, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah and several out-of-towners dined at Ms. Gwen Lane's home after church. It was almost like old times when we were living on 27 North where the peanut plant is now. The house has been moved and much has been done. The road has been rerouted, but it's o.k.; we still have the memories.

It was a real treat to see the godchildren from Gainesville, FL. They still come to see us as they did before. They still are family.
