Cordelia O'Hearn Brookins
Cordelia O'Hearn Brookins, 77, of Donalsonville, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at her residence.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Oakview Church of God with Rev. Mylan Brookins and Rev. Milton Pate officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Brookins was born in Early County on March 14, 1931, to the late Arthur Odin and Essie Mae Burton O'Hearn. She was married to Reuben Brookins Sr. who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, a member of Oakview Church of God, Oakview Prime Timers, Oakview Women of Grace and the Jubilees.
Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Herring and husband Harold, Vanessa Stewart and husband, Kenny, all of Donalsonville, Rosalyn Austin and husband Dextral of Conyers; a brother, Edwin O'Hearn of Donalsonville; a sister, Christine Boyd of Columbus; grandchildren, Nicole Driver and husband Jeremy of Conyers, Neil Austin and wife Monique of Boston, MA, Nicholas Austin and wife Julie and Natalie Austin, all of Covington; Trey Myers and Spence Stewart and wife Angela, all of Donalsonville, Shannan Reynolds and husband Michael of Tallahassee, FL; great-grandchildren, Ashley Driver, Sydney Driver, Sierra Driver, and Jacob Driver, all of Conyers; Brayson Reynolds and McKade Reynolds, both of Tallahassee, FL, and John Lloyd Austin of Boston, MA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Odin and Essie Mae Burton O'Hearn; her husband, Reuben Thomas Brookins Sr.; a son, Reuben Thomas Brookins Jr.; a sister, Evelyn Warren; and three brothers, Wallace O'Hearn, Wynder O'Hearn and Hiram O'Hearn.
