Mrs. Una Myrtle Mason, age 94 of Colquitt died Friday, May 16, 2008, at Miller County Hospital.

Mrs. Mason was born December 28, 1913, in Baker County. She was a retired peanut inspector and a member of Bellview Free Will Baptist Church. She also was a member of the Women's Auxiliary at Bellview.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Bellview Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Mounts, Rev. Andy Merritt, and Rev. Benjamin Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Colquitt City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Mickey Henley, Donald Brooks, Lavon Clenney, Joe Martin, Roger Worsley and Don Brown.

Survivors include one daughter, Sarah (Troy) Long, Bainbridge; one sister, Uva Mason, Colquitt; one brother, Talmadge Sanders, Colquitt; two grandchildren, Troy (Julie) Long Jr., Chesapeake, VA, Carolyn (Jeff) Thompson, Bainbridge; six great-grandchildren, Beth (Charlie) Campbell, Milton, FL, Steven Olds, Whigham, Stephanie (Chris) Coker, Bainbridge, Chris (Stephanie) Olds, Hampton, VA, Laycee (Ken) Palmer, Kosciusko, MS, Victoria Long, Chesapeake, VA; nine great-great-grandchildren, Dylan Olds, Colquitt, Charlee and Gracee Coker, Leesburg, Blayne Wallin, Hampton, VA, Conner Campbell, Milton, FL, Christen Palmer, Megan Palmer, Ryan Smith, Brooklyn Palmer, Kosciusko, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mason and one great-granddaughter, Leah Long.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
