Jason Bailey Jason Bailey Colquitt's Jason Bailey and his Chipola, Florida Indians' teammates are once again headed to the JUCO World Series for the second straight year.

This World Series will be played in Grand Junction, Colorado, on Saturday, May 24, 2008.

Chipola College won the national championship title last year and are hoping they can go back and win back to back national titles.

The Indians just finished the state tournament where they were undefeated in their quest for yet another state title.

While at Chipola College, Jason holds an earned run average of 1.52, the lowest on the team.

Jason is a 2005 graduate of Miller County High School where he was starting pitcher for the Miller County Pirate baseball team.

The lefty amassed 150 strikeouts his senior year in high school and was coplayer of the year for Region 1-A. He was also named the team's Most Valuable Player his senior year.

"It is no surprise to see Jason doing well in college. He has always been successful at every level he has played. He was a good ball player as a youth in the recreation department and continued his success in high school. He played for me on the Miller County Junior Varsity and Varsity team while in high school. I wish Jason the best," commented MCHS Coach Richard Prescott.

Another coach stated, "Jason has a natural talent for baseball."

This will be Jason's final semester at Chipola College. He is still unsure of where he will transfer to, but several schools have been scouting him and offers have been made.

Jason is the son of Gene and Angela Bailey and the brother of Josh Bailey, all of Colquitt.

All of Jason's friends and former coaches wish him success in the world series.
