Catch the Reading Bug

School is almost out for summer which means it is time for the vacation reading program to begin at the Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library. This year the library has some exciting activities planned for children of all ages to catch the reading bug. Clowns, musicians, snakes, and storytellers will be visiting the library each Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Registration begins Tuesday, May 27.

Food for Fines

Does your child have overdue fines? If so, the library's Food for Fines program will be returning Tuesday, May 27. The library will forgive $1 of overdue fines for each canned item. Food for Fines applies only to overdue fines and excludes fees associated with lost or damaged material. The library will not accept perishable, rusted, expired, or glass items. Don't wait as this offer will end Saturday, June 7, and will not be extended.

Memorial Day

In observance of Memorial Day, the Miller County - James W. Merritt, Jr. Memorial Library will be closed Monday, May 26. If you have an item that needs to be returned, you can put books in the book drop located behind the library. The library will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, at 11:30 a.m.
