Darden, Roland to wed

Timothy Roland and Ashley Darden Timothy Roland and Ashley Darden Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Darden Jr. of Blakely announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Ashley Elizabeth, to Timothy Daniel Roland of Colquitt.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Gilbert and Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Darden III, all of Blakely. She is the sister of George Eric Darden of Blakely. She is also the granddaughter of Ms. Katie Farris and Mr. Otis Farris of Arlington.

Ashley will be a 2008 graduate of Early County High School. She plans to attend Bainbridge College in the fall and pursue a degree in early childhood education.

The future bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy "Timmy" Roland and Ms. Robin Roland, all of Colquitt. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ishmond Roland of Colquitt and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Shepard of Panama City, FL.

Daniel attended Miller County High School and is currently employed by the Miller County Road Department in Colquitt.

The wedding is planned for June 28, 2008, at First United Methodist Church in Blakely at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.

No local invitations are being sent, but all friends and family are invited to attend.
