Primary Care welcomes Dr. Ruth Evans

Ruth Evans, M.D. Ruth Evans, M.D. Primary Care of Southwest Georgia, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing affordable primary and preventive healthcare services, welcomes Ruth Evans, M.D., to its staff.

Dr. Evans is Board Certified in Family Practice. She graduated from Medical College of Ohio in 1996 and completed a three year residency in Family Practice at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. Her medical career has included being physician in charge at a Rural Health Clinic in Bayou La Batre, AL, Staff Physician at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Center Physician for Job Corps, Medical Director of American Indian Health and a volunteer physician with Covenant Care Clinic. Dr. Evans has special interest in Women's Health and Pediatrics, however she enjoys taking care of the health care needs of the entire family. Dr. Evans has been appointed to the staff of the Early County Hospital and has full privileges there.

Dr. Ann Addison, CEO, stated, "We are extremely fortunate to have Dr. Evans join Dr. Luis Murrain and Jane Gordon, FNP-C to continue our tradition of provision of high quality health care. We are anxious to serve anyone needing primary care services in Southwest Georgia. We accept all forms of payment including private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. For patients who are income eligible, services are available at discounted rates whether they are uninsured patients or patients meeting deductibles for insurance and Medicare.
