Mr. Milton Wiley Dean, 59, of Douglas, formerly of Colquitt, died January 7, 2008, in Douglas.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at SheffieldFuneral Chapel with interment in Harmony Church cemetery. Rev. Rollin Rathel officiated.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Harvest Time Church of God in Douglas.

Mr. Dean was born February 17, 1948, in Miller County. Mr. Dean was a member of Harvest Time Church of God in Douglas, where he served as pastor. He was also pastor of Kimbrel Chapel Church of God in Colquitt for 8 and a 1/2 years.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Dean of Douglas; three sons, Andy (Paula) Dean of Blackshear, Michael (Marcia) Dean of Folkston and Kenneth Dean of Douglas; four daughters, Sheila (Rusty) Norvell of Doerun, Marsha (Daniel) Johnson of Brentwood, TN, Sharon (Brad) Rentz of Moultrie and Susan (John) Messick of Fitzgerald; two brothers, Charlie M. Dean, Jr. of Waddley and Billy Dean of Milledgeville; three sisters, Pearl Eva Bean of Jasper, AL, Josie Cowart of Bainbridge and Clara Martin of Mt. Verd, FL; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
