Nursing Home News
by Suzanne Griffin

What an exciting week we have had, we kicked it of with our annual Christmas party and a visit from "Santa" on Monday night. The nursing home was filled with family and friends to share in the fun. The dietary department did a wonderful job planning and serving the food for us. I would like to say "thank you" to everyone who had a part in making this night such a success. I dare not start calling names because I know that I would leave someone out because there were so many of you that helped in so many ways. Again thank you!

The Miller County High School band came to share some Christmas carols with us on Tuesday night.

Wednesday there was a group that came with the First Baptist Church to share the Christmas story in drama and in song. In the afternoon we had another visit from Santa along with the monthly birthday party given this month by the New Home FWB Church and caroling that evening by the Colquitt FWB Church.

The Miller County Garden Club also made a visit and to share with the residents a little something they had made for each of them.

Thursday we had our Christmas check up so that we could see how different things are today from years gone by.

Friday morning James Judkins came to share and we ended our week with a Christmas tea.

Saturday during our Family Day the Outreach for Christ came to be with us.

On Sunday morning Mr. Charles Thorne served cake and punch to his Sunday School Class, and the members from the Flat Creek Baptist Church came to share in the afternoon. As you can see we have had a very full week.

Our holidays have been great. We hope that each of you will have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
