Accident on Hwy. 91 North causes one injury

Vehicle came to rest on large oak tree
On Thursday, December 6, 2007, the Miller County Sheriff's Department received a call of a one vehicle accident.

The accident occurred on Highway 91 North. Carol J. Peters of Colquitt was traveling north in her 2006 Nissan Altima. The vehicle left the road on the right side, entered into the ditch and traveled approximately 500 feet, striking a few small trees. The vehicle then crossed the roadway, went into the left ditch and came to rest after striking a large oak tree and becoming wedged between other trees.

The Miller County Sheriff's Department, EMS, and Fire Department were called to the scene.

The driver was transported to the Miller County Hospital for visible injuries.

No citations were issued, and the vehicle received extensive damage.
