Three injured in two vehicle accident

Two were injured and hospitalized in this truck.

A two-vehicle accident occurred Friday afternoon, November 30, 2007. The accident took place at the intersection of Three Notch Road and Griggs Lucille Road.

The accident resulted when Hugh Riley Preston of 415 Old Damascus Road, Colquitt, was traveling east on Grigg- Lucille Road. Lester B. Glass, of 6432 Three Notch Road, Blakely, was traveling north on Three Notch Road.

Preston, driving, a 2004 Ford F-150 truck failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a 1992 Isuzu driven by Glass in the northbound lane of travel.

Preston's vehicle came to rest in the east ditch. Vehicle two came to rest in the intersection of Three Notch and Griggs Lucille Road.

Glass and his passenger, Rebecca Harper Glass, were transported to the Miller County Hospital for visible injuries.

The GSP, Miller County EMS, Colquitt/Miller County Fire Department, and Miller County Sheriff's deputies responded to the accident.

Preston was charged with failure to stop for the stop sign. Trooper C.L. Hall was the reporting officer.
