Larceny

On November 23, 2007, OfficerGreg Richey responded to Crawford Street in reference to a gas drive-off. Upon arriving, OfficerRichey spoke to Melissa Williams, the clerk, concerning the incident. Williams stated that a newer model blue Dodge Ram pickup, driven by a middle-aged white male. Williams stated that after pumping the gas the subject started talking to someone else at the rear of his vehicle. He then got in his vehicle and drove off on Hwy. 27N.

On November 23, 2007, OfficerLonnie Wade was dispatched to Crawford Street in reference to a gas drive-off. Upon arrival, OfficerWade spoke with Melissa Williams, the clerk, who stated that two white males in a Chevy S-10 pickup truck pulled up to the gas pump, and the driver got out of the vehicle and pumped $43.09 in gas and got back into the vehicle and drove off in a southward direction. The case is still under investigation.

On November 19, 2007, OfficerLonnie Wade was dispatched to Crawford Street in reference to a gas drive-off. Upon arrival, OfficerWade spoke with Melissa Williams, the clerk, who stated that a black female in an unknown vehicle pulled up to the gas pump and pumped $15.01 in gas and drove off in an unknown direction. The case is still under investigation.

Public Intoxication

On November 18, 2007, OfficerHollis Smith responded to Bethel Street in reference to an intoxicated subject. Earlier the same day, Officer Smith told

Lamar Bush to go home and stay because he was very drunk. OfficerSmith also advised Mr. Bush that if he was seen back out he would be arrested for public drunkenness. When OfficerSmith arrived for the second time, Mr. Bush had left the residence. OfficerSmith walked around the apartment complex looking for Mr. Bush and found him hiding on the side of another apartment. OfficerSmith called his name, and Mr. Bush began to run, and OfficerSmith gave chase on foot. After Mr. Bush was caught, he was placed in handcuffs and advised he was under arrest for public drunkenness.

Accident

On November 16, 2007, OfficerHollis Smith responded to Birdsong parking lot in reference to an accident. Upon arrival,

James Burney of Colquitt was backing into a parking spot and hit a 1994 Ford Taurus belonging to Linda Padgett of Damascus. Ms. Padgett found the damage to her vehicle when she went to leave work. Mr. Burney returned when he saw someone at or near the vehicle.
