WILLIE JAMES "PUSHUP" JOHNSON

Mr. Willie James "Pushup" Stromer Johnson, age 50, of Colquitt passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2007, after an extended illness.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Arline and Rev. Bell officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Willie was born on July 3, 1957, to Ms. Lonnie Bell Stromer and the late Charlie Johnson, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Mrs. Beatrice Jay Johnson of Colquitt; one son, Steve Johnson of Tampa, FL; one daughter, Shanita Johnson of Tampa, FL; mother, Lonnie Bell Stromer of Colquitt; two grandchildren, Calvonte Johnson and Shantisa Miller of Tampa, FL; three sisters, Juanita (Willie C.) Hightower, Alice Mae (Edward) Benton, all of Colquitt, Arletha Scott of New Jersey; two brothers, Ben (Barbara Nell) Johnson of Clearwater, FL, F.L. Johnson of St. Petersburg, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Williams' Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
