Victoria Henley of Colquitt will make her debut November 30, 2007 in Quincy, Florida, as Eliza, Interpreter, and Phr Alack in
The King and I.
The show will be held at the Quincy Music Theatre, which is an experience in itself. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8:00 p.m. on November 30, December 1, December 7, and December 8. Matinee shows begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, and Sunday, December 9.
The King and I is a regal classic based on the true story of Anna Leonowens, an English widow, who comes to Bangkok in the 1860s to serve as a governess to the many children of the king of Siam. The song list includes "Getting to Know You" and the legendary number "Small House of Uncles Thomas" in which Victoria will dance the lead.
Lynn, Victoria's mother, is also cast as one of the king's wives.
