National HOSA week observed

November 5-9 was National HOSA Week. For HOSA members this means work, work, work. There were several activities that were carefully planned on the agenda. Eighth grade recruiting was one of these activities. HOSA officers created a health careers brochure that explained about career opportunities in the medical field. These brochures were passed out to the eighth grade students and spent some time explaining to them exactly what our club was about. A bulletin board was organized outside of the health occupations classroom that further explains about careers in the medical field. Hopefully there will be many new members next year! The second activity on the agenda was a teacher appreciation breakfast. Lots of time was put into this. The teachers met in the library and helped themselves to the food they wanted. Last but certainly not least, HOSA is also participating in a Thanksgiving food drive with FBLA and Beta Club.
