FFA News
by Brooke Widner

Hello, everyone! If you want a Miller County FFA t-shirt, they are $6.00. The shirts are in, so don't forget to get one.

On Wednesday, October 17, 130 MCHS FFA members attended the Sunbelt AG Expo in Moultrie. Students were able to see a variety of exhibitor booths and were able to receive numerous free souvenirs. We would like to thank Mr. Rollin Rathel, Mr. Fred Byrd, and Mr. Bill Spooner for driving us there and back.

Matthew and I traveled to the 80th National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, this past week. We left Monday morning and arrived in Indy Tuesday at lunch. We got to enjoy the luxuries of the hotel on Tuesday as well as all week. Matthew and I went to the water park in the hotel and also played ping-pong and pool. We attended the opening ceremony Wednes- day afternoon and a concert Wednesday night. The concert was opened by Danielle Peck and Montgomery Gentry who was announced by surprise guest John Stamos. We enjoyed Indianapolis and its many activities the rest of the week and arrived home Friday night. Matthew and I would like to thank the Miller County FFA Alumni for helping with the costly expense of our trip. We also like to thank our FFA Advisor, Mr. Bill, for putting up with us all week.

This week's member of the week is Dustin Mathis. Dustin is a senior FFA member. He has been a member of the FFA for seven years and also has been a member of the Forestry Team for two years. He currently holds the Greenhand FFA degree. Dustin is enrolled in Mr. Bill's horticulture, wood-working, and forestry class. That's all I have for this week.
